Eversharp Skyline Ballpoint pen in Black/Gold Condition: Cap-Very Good; Barrel-Fair Uses standard Parker ballpoint refills. NOTE: This is not a 100% Skyline pen. The cap is a Skyline fountain pen cap but the barrel is some other make/model. Nevertheless, they fit together perfectly and result in a convincing combination. This pen has a few bite marks that are only noticeable when you look closely. One of the photos shows this pen beside a modern Eversharp Skyline rollerball - to demonstrate how well they match up. It's a Cartridge Pencil (not a Liquid Lead model) with a design that mimics the internal and external dimensions of a Jotter ballpoint (5.8mm diameter). 1946 Reynolds Rocket ballpoint pen in Aluminum Condition: Fair Uses standard Parker ballpoint refills. The back end of the barrel is closed with a friction-fit plug, not threaded. A piece of writing history, the Reynolds Rocket was the first ballpoint to be marketed in the USA. It spoiled the launch of the original Eversharp ballpoint and possibly led to the downfall of Eversharp itself. Apparently style was not included with this pen. It looks like something fashioned in a garage - a stark contrast to the Eversharp Fifth Avenue which premiered just a few months later. This pen has been converted to use a modern ballpoint refill.
